Little did I know, uncle Makitau was battling illness at the time. Sadly, uncle passed away a few weeks after I showed him this painting. I’ve tried to immortalise uncles essence and our bond we shared. It serves as a reminder of life's fragility and the power of art to preserve cherished memories.
